Manufacturing is the country’s fourth-largest industry, a major contributor to our GDP and job creator. This sector is trading under tremendous pressure. Margins are squeezed, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get new clients while the threat of competitors, especially cheap imports, is omnipresent. It is therefore critical that companies operate efficiently and for the leaders to focus on finding better ways of producing their products.
In our experience, manufacturing companies are actually good at managing their operations. Managers are always looking for improvement and have excellent standard operating procedures. Owners are however aware that their processes are not perfect and in this quest to do better, they look beyond their processes for improvement.
