Antonio di Paolo

I’ve started my career at ProsperIS in 2007 as an IT technician and worked my way up towards General Manager.
My career in IT started after I matriculated in 2002 and went on to study for my International Diploma in Computer Studies. I then realised that IT is more than just opening and fixing computers. I was exposed to a wide variety of choices within the IT industry.
After completing my diploma I went and worked at a start-up insurance company, overseeing all of their office IT infrastructure. This was a very monotonous working environment and I soon realised that doing the same thing on an everyday basis was not challenging enough for me.
I then got a taste of the events industry where every day was a challenge in itself and you get to meet new people and get to work in different environments every day, which made every day exiting and different. Best of all, I wasn’t imprisoned in an office behind a desk!
I then Joined ProsperIS and did my N+ diploma in networking and later completed my Management and Senior Management courses through Stellenbosch university.
Through my years working at ProsperIS within the Conference IT space I’ve been exposed to all from of IT, from basic user IT support to managing and building internal networks to servicing and supplying server infrastructure.
When I’m not in front of my computer I like to spend some time outdoors doing anything from hiking, going for a nice road trip on my motorcycle or in a 4×4 somewhere in the bush or mountains where’s there’s not much cell phone reception.
